Hey There!

Its been a while since i have updated so i figured its about time!

Life is going ok, could be worse, could be better. Fair few things have changed since last time. I have no finished Uni, didnt complete my masters but its there to pick up when i want too. I also cut down my time working voluntary a lot for health reasons mainly.

The biggest change is.. i got myself an awesome man, and by awesome i mean completely and utterly amazing. Not like anyone i have ever known, he keeps me on my toes, challenges me all the time and seems to be in love with me! This guy is by far the most wonderful person in the world and i love him to pieces!

The kids are good! Enjoying school and growing up.../cry

Review: Lost Boys: The Thirst

Welll... i really dont know what to say about this film other than LOLOLOLOL HAHAHAHA.... it was absolutely shit! and i am not exaggerating, i have not seen anything that bad for a long time, and Cory Feldman's acting was horrid. This film was not even bad in a good sort of way! Waste of time and money for all concerned!

Review: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time 2010

Well this film wasnt really like i expected it to be. The storyline itself was great and some of the casting was also fabulous espcially Ben Kinglsey however... i found the way they spoke unrealistic to the time it was set it and more often than not it wasnt funny, it felt almost as if they were trying to aim for 'The Mummy's' sense of humour. Jake Gyllenhaal was good but i didnt find him particularly suited that that role, he just doesnt seem to fit the action hero mold, he is too beautiful and well spoken for it. I enjoyed the film but was disappointed.

Review: Rocky Horror Picture Show 1975

So this is the first time i have ever seen it, despite knowing all the words for The Time Warp!

It was great, fun and eeerie and was awesome to watch. Found myself somewhat attracted to Tim Curry which was disturbing! I could definatly see what the fuss was about!

Review: Due Date 2010

This film was amuzing, it took a little while to get started but there was some great laughs along the way... need i say much about a masterbating dog?. Robert Downey Jr was as brilliant as always and Zach Galifianakis was his usually funny self. I would recommend this film to anyone who wants a giggle or two.

Review: Knight and Day 2010

Typical comedy by Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, was somewhat fun to watch and kept me entertained but was not anything overly special. Plot was somewhat weak and expectable with no suprises and not a huge deal of laugh out loud humor but it was good natured and an easy watch. Have seen better films starring both actors.

Review: Eden Lake 2008

Perfect film highlighting England's youth culture. Thrilling to watch and extremely gory. A film based on modern day fears of young people i thought it was very well made. Excellent casting especially with Jack O'Connell as one fo the lead characters, perfect for this role.

Review: Shutter Island 2010

Fantastic film! Amazing twist at the end and Leonardo at his best! This film kept me guessing all the way till the end while i did guess part of the ending i certainly did not imagine how it would pan out. Would highly recommend this film for those who like suspense, thriller and a something a little scary, i found myself jumping a few times.

Review: Legion 2010

Evil Angels! Anything with those has got to be full of win and this film didnt disappoint. It was not as good as trailers had led me to believe but it was still good Paul Bettany plays a great part as Michael and the storyline was different to most other films out there of this genre. Would definatly watch it again.

Review: Friday 13th 2009

This is a remark of the old classic starring Jared Padalecki. Film was good, plenty of gore for those who enjoy it. Storyline is the same as most horrors, bunch of teenagers getting drunk and high, having sex and an evil murderer comes after them. Personally anything with Jared in is good but i am biased. I enjoyed the film not as good as the old version but very watchable.

Review: The Last Seduction 1994

Picked up the mention of this film in a Sex and the City episode so thought i would give it a whirl. It wasnt a bad film but i wouldnt say it was great either. Bill Pullman seems a little wet in most films and this is no different. Watchable but wouldnt rave about it. Bonus however is it is nice to see a film where a woman is taking control and getting revenge on a man in a way which will hurt him more than anything else... his wallet! :)

Would give this film a 7/10

The Universe

I am always so in awe when watching Brian Cox, he has this amazing capability of explaining science in way that is understandable and enjoyable, I think I have a little crush lol.

I ordered my new desk today, I can't wait to get it set up and have space to do all my work, its going to be awesome.

Going to read a little of my book now, I'm going to start reviewing all the books and films I watch from now on. Good way to keep track for myself x x

A Change for the Better

Its finally March and i must say im glad, the sun is out more often, the temperature is rising even if ever so slightly and it finally looks like spring, summer is not far off now, you can almost smell it.

I started work for the Census on Monday and i am enjoying it so far and its keeping me busy. I also am in the midst of writing a case study for my Criminal Justice module on the subject of Victim Support and i am still working on my dissertation which seems to be mostly reading for now. The last few weeks have been busy and it looks like the next month or so will also, but im glad of it. Its so nice to be busy with things.

My little plan is coming into action. I intend on buying a new tv with USB and a new desk and chair in the next couple of weeks. Im aiming on not using my pc at all and just using my netbook for working on, i am going to use my tv to watch all my movies on which are now on my external hard drive, definatly a wise investment so i dont have dvd boxes all over the place, plus all my music on pics are on it too.

I am applying for jobs too ready for when this one finishes mid April so hopefully that will be something that comes to fluition.

I have also recently removed someone from my life that was quite a negative influence, i tried to remain friends with them but it just became too hard, i was constantly having to defend my self from being accused of something which was assumed i meant, even though i didnt actually mean anything by anything i said, ppl know me well enough to know if i have something to say i will. Soo i blocked this person from skype and msn and removed them from facebook etc. Life is much better without them if they are going to behave that way, plus i was getting quite sick of the negative attitude and moping around all the time, there are only so many times you can say aww, im sure it will get better, especially when sometimes you do think well its your own fault... hello go get a life u! I HATE people who complain about their live and do NOTHING to change it! Life is what you make of it, no one is responsible for it other than you!

On another note i took the children out for a meal yesterday which was nice, its rare i have the money available for that sort of thing so it made a refreshing change. Plus we had lots of fun:)

Well thats me done for now, time to go chill a little before dinner xx

Spring Time

I am loving this time of year, the crocus' and daffodils are starting to grow and bloom. There seems to be loads of snow drops around too more than usual. The air smells fresh and of dewful grass its nice. The sun makes me feel positive, hopeful, like there is something to look forward too.

Which of course there is!

Start my job next Monday and I'm really looking forward to it. I have a busy time with essays and my thesis too and writing a case study about Victim Support which will bridge between my uni work and awareness raising for them. I have to mull over some ideas for fundraising etc aswell so I am just busy at the moment but I'm organised and enjoying it.

The cheque will clear from the council tax on Wednesday so I am going to treat myself to a new bag I have been after for a long time.

I hope you are all enjoying the springtime bloom, and remember life is what you make it, only you can change the future and only you can achieve your dreams so what's stopping you?!?

Tv series overload!

I am overloaded with things to keep track of to watch lately, i have Supernatural, NCIS, V, Glee, Fringe and 90210 from the USA and Marchlands and Biggest Looser UK to watch aswell, my brain gets so confuzzled I had to write the days they are on in my diary lol.

I watch episode 2 of Marchlands tonight and it was great, equally as intriguing as last weeks episode. I can't wait for next weeks now. Very interested to see how it all pans out.

My dissertation research is coming along nicely but still have lots to do.

I'm attending training on the 21st for my new census job I can't wait.

Oh I ordered a new book today called 'If I stay' its had some good reviews and the story seems interesting, I will post a review when I am done

So I just had my place confirmed for training for my new job, I can't wait!
I also found out that I had paying council tax for six months and didn't need too so I get it all back!

Things are going good lately finally!

Oh and I sold my eq2 account.

Got my new all in one printer today and its really awesome!

Anyway off to do some more research for my dissertation!

Life!!!

Well so far 2011 has been good, I know we are only a month in but its still good. I have landed myself some nice paid work in March, had some unexpected money and paid some annoying bills.

I have been feeling healthy and positive and determind to have an awesome year.

I got a nice new phone, HTC wildfire which I love, amazing lil phone with fantastic apps.

Just started my masters dissertation, I decided to research or as I have to put it "critically evaluate the use of criminological theories to explain serious youth crime" I am enjoying it so far and its very Interesting and if nothing else its always a conversation starter, I have the pleasure of being mentored by Georgios who is a great criminologist.

Anyway! Happy Feb everyone:)
